Sometimes when I hear the variation, my ego goes "fly Kate, fly!" and my body says "I'm in!" But other days, my ego says, "fly Kate, FLY!" but my body says, "please don't. I can't today." Some days I do what my ego says and I fly anyway - at the end of my practice I feel defeated and like I let myself down - like I didn't do my best. But I did that to myself - all because I listened to my ego and didn't honor my body and I didn't give it what it needed. No matter what sort of yoga class you go to, I promise it is the goal of your instructor to leave you in your own greatness - but that's on you whether you choose honor your true greatness or weather you try to "honor" your ego's.
